Real World Trading (RWT) is when a player buys goods or services with real money to help further there gaming needs. For example, a player may buy someone's account and play on that or purchase items from another player. This is a prime example of RWT as well as if someone was to buy items or money for the game.
This is a major rule because Jagex specifically states that all accounts and items within that account are Jagex property. Jagex have had a strong stance against RWT by doing major updates to their game RuneScape. By their previous experience and continual strong stance against RWT, Jagex plans to make RWT harder or even impossible in existing and future titles such as Stellar Dawn.[1]
