Forums: Index Stellar Garage MechScape vs MechScape Wiki namespace.

Basically, we have the project namespace. Currently, our project namespace is MechScape Wiki. This means that any articles like rules would be titled "MechScape Wiki:Policy". However, it was suggested by Supertech1 that we use "MechScape:Policy" instead. I'm just questioning who would prefer MechScape: vs. MechScape Wiki? My personal preference is MechScape. MechScape Wiki would be best, as project namespaces should usually be the name of the wiki. It also makes things alot easier for articles that may have "MechScape:" in them. If it's too long to type, just use Project:About.--Richardtalk 19:56, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Ah, didn't realize there was Project: too. You learn something new all the time on wikis. :P Ben RyfosTalkContributions 21:00, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the info. Like Nq2h, I didn't know about the Project namespace; that really solves all of the problems that lead to our inquiry. 22:20, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Ah, there's also {{ns:4}}/{{ns:Project}}. I knew about the ns markup, but for some reason I hadn't thought of it before suggesting that we switch our project namespace to MechScape. 22:22, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
I vote for MechScape Wiki because all Wiki's on Wikia are the name of the project, then Wiki. Also, keeping it as plainly MechScape can kinda be seen as copyright I guess because we are not MechScape, we are MechScape WIKI. http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/88/sdwksig.png 11:18, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
