+ | '''Question''' - What if the user having the CBR done doesn't agree to have the community discuss their actions. I think as a once respected member, it should be at the obligation of us to respect their wish to not be reviewed if they request not to be. We should seek permission from the user first. As a once trusted user, they will surely understand the CBR if we put it into effect. {{signatures/bonziiznob}} 14:50, November 11, 2009 (UTC) |
:Good catch. I appended [[User:Supertech1/Proposals/Community_Behavioral_Reflections#Refusal_by_Contributor|Refusal by Contributor]] and [[User:Supertech1/Proposals/Community_Behavioral_Reflections#Refusal_by_Requestor|Refusal by Requestor]]. Though it's not explicitly stated in the proposal, the point of a CBR is to prompt reflection--not to get people angry. If a CBR is going to cause trouble, it should be closed, protected, archived, removed, or whatever is necessary to prevent it from prompting further argumentative behavior. A CBR sort of implies that problems were so destructive that members of the community left; however, should one of the users return, even if only for the purposes of influencing a CBR, their wishes should take priority over the CBR guidelines. A CBR could be a bit intimidating to some people, so it's quite understandable if someone doesn't want their name all over the page.
